Our ‘Structural System’ (The Body's Framework ) is comprised of two subsystems the ‘Skeletal System’ which is the framework of the body, that supports the softer tissues and provides points of attachment for the ‘Skeletal Muscle System’.   The ‘Structural System’ consists of bones, skeletal muscles, and connective tissue, and houses all the other body systems, while providing them mechanical protection from the outside environment.   Our ‘Skeletal System’ stores most minerals, including calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) in the bone tissues, and produces blood cells in the red bone marrow of some larger bones.
